Stage 4: Panzano - Nocito

Challenging stage that reaches the highest point of the tour at Vallemona pass at 1850 m. A superb stage where we traverse Sierra de Guara from south to north discovering one of its most precious natural areas: Nocito Valley -almost uninhabited- and its alpine environment. Its includes a large amount of singletracks including popular "revientachulos".

We leave Panzano by road heading north towards the Formiga river canyon. Before descending, we must take the path on the right in order to cross the ravine. Immediately we reach the road that we must cross and continue on a steep slope towards the town of Santa Cilia de Panzano. From there, following the signs to Tozal de Guara (2,077 m),we ascend until we reach a crossroads where will take the path on the right ascending to Vallemona Col (1805 m), from where we will enjoy stunning views. We descend and continue north through Cupierlo plains, paying attention to our GPS device. It is easy to miss the right trail. At the end of the plains we will take the downhill path and arrive to a gravel road that we must cross. We’ll cross the area known as Los Fenales conecting to the trail leading to Used. On the descent you have to be pay attention to an unmarked crossroads, near Can de Used. We will take the path on the left that will take us to the trail that climbs from Used to Fenales. Once we reach that point, we will cross it and take another beautiful path –in front of us- descending to Bentué de Nocito. In this section there are some complicated steps. The trail leads to the road, right in front of Bentué de Nocito. From Bentué, we will take the path to San Urbez / Nocito, and then another path on the left that will take us back to the road. After that, we will cross the road taking the path on the left to Nocito, a beautiful stone village located at the foothills of Tozal de Guara. Hípica Mallata can host our horses. Its owner is an expert and knows well this area. He can also help you to adapt the following stages to your needs.
